About the defaults
AOPA Finance reported aircraft loan rates in the low 6 percent range in January 2026, with 5- to 20-year terms. The rate field starts at 6.25% as a midpoint of that description.[1] The $125,000 price, 20% down payment and 15-year term are examples only.
